We are in the middle of a Nor'Eastern here. It has been gloomy for the past 2 days. Overcast, wind howling, rain beating down. Miserable!
My daughter loves to be outside. She is perfectly happy running, finding bugs, digging in the dirt all day if I let her! Obviously not an option at the moment.
So, I have been met with the challenge of keeping an active toddler occupied in the house. Toys are not played with long. She can't sit and make pictures without drawing all over or eating the crayon.
So my over active child is now watching Handy Manny on Disney Channel.
I have my own challenges today. I want to fire up my sewing machine, but not sure what to make! I am in a creative mood, so we will see where it takes me!

About me.
I have debated blogging for a while.
I enjoy posting and interacting with other mothers on a social networking site. I have noticed that there is quite a bit of interest in my life and I got a little bit of a following on there!
I am not the "'typical" American wife and mother.
I am Muslim.
I have a beautiful daughter who was born February 2008. Since having her, I decided to be a stay at home mother.
It is the most rewarding job I have ever had! I can't even begin to put into words how much I love every second with her! I am addicted to being a mom! I am writing this now, as she sleeps in her Princess toddler bed, wishing she would wake up and give me her smile!
I have been married almost 4 years. I love my husband so much, I believe I found my soul mate! We go through the normal highs and lows of marriage, but mostly highs!
My goal for this blog is to just share a little about me. What I go through in everyday life. To share the milestones my daughter reaches, because I am the typical proud momma and to also raise awareness about subjects I am interested in. And most importantly, to clear up some of the misconceptions some people may have about Islam and the Muslim people!
So, please, feel free to leave me comments. Feel free to ask me any questions. And please enjoy my blog!
